My name is Ruby and I am a young textile artist in Perth.

I have grown up and worked around art my whole life, my Mum owning Art's Edge Gallery, a local picture framing and print shop, gave me access to art from a young age. As soon as I was old enough I started to work in her shop, picking frames and helping artists.

Recently we started Creative Edge which I am now the Deputy Chairperson. For the last 3 years I have been hands on, curating, supporting emerging artists, and being inspired by all of the beautiful pieces that comes through the doors.

My Nanna was a tailor, teaching me to sew and work with fabrics ever since I was little. Going from making clothes, to crocheting, to getting inspired to start creating textile artwork.

Although I have just started my serious art journey, I am so excited for the opportunity to display my work and the future ahead of me.
