Christine Bonney Websdale

Christine Websdale (née Bonney) is an Aboriginal artist from Western Australia with a rich cultural heritage rooted in the Wongatha-Mirring tribes. Growing up in a family of 13 siblings and artist parents, she developed a deep passion for art from a young age. As a child, Christine often watched her mother paint landscapes, inspiring her to create her own drawings and paintings.

At age 10, she completed her first oil painting and by age 14 her landscapes and horse paintings were captivating buyers. Today Christine's focus is on contemporary Aboriginal art, where she uses mixed media, vibrant acrylic paints and pens, to bring her visions to life.

Christine's art is a reflection of her personal and cultural journey, infused with spontaneity and love. Each piece is unique, often taking unexpected directions, and carries deep emotional resonance. She takes pride in the connection her art fosters with buyers and values the appreciation it brings. Christine also emphasizes the demanding yet rewarding process behind each creation, underscoring the dedication required to produce meaningful works.
