Creative Edge Art Collective is a not-for-profit art’s hub in Perth’s northern suburb of Joondalup. The collective develops artists through education, exhibition and engagement to inspire and develop artists while supporting disadvantaged communities through the arts.
Creative Edge showcases established and emerging Western Australian artists in our gallery space. We host exhibitions, workshops and mentoring programs that engage artists and support our community. Visit our expansive, light-filled gallery where we display some of the best art Western Australia has to offer.
We are located within the gallery space of Arts Edge Gallery.
Creative Edge Art Collective inspires, engages and nurtures artists and contributes sustainably to the local community, providing an inclusive and vibrant hub that supports all people to have access to the arts.
Creative Edge Art Collective develops and promotes WA artists and makes their work and expertise accessible to the local community. Creative Edge Art Collective enriches the community by making art and its intrinsic benefits accessible.
The Creative Edge Art Collective exists to enrich cultural life, foster artistic expression, and support the development of creative industries. Our projects and initiatives focus on promoting and nurturing the talents of artists, providing educational opportunities, and enhancing community engagement with the arts.
Creative Edge Art Collective is committed to advancing the charitable purposes outlined by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) under the Charities Act 2013.
Our objectives are outlined below.
Creative Edge Art Collective acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate and pays respect to Elders past, present, and emerging.
As a not-for-profit arts collective, we are committed to supporting artists and strengthening cultural life within our community. Our approach is guided by the principles of the Indigneous Art Code and grounded in fairness, respect, and transparency.
We work with artists in a way that is clear and supportive. All agreements are explained in plain language so artists can make informed decisions, take their time, and seek independent advice if they choose. We do not apply pressure, and we prioritise relationships built on trust and mutual understanding.
Artists retain copyright in their work. We respect Indigenous Cultural and Intellectual Property and cultural protocols, and we do not reproduce or share cultural material without permission.
We are committed to fair and timely payment, open communication, and accurate record keeping. We ensure artists are properly acknowledged and that their work is handled with care and respect.
Creative Edge exists to nurture, inspire, and engage artists. We aim to create a space where cultural knowledge is honoured, artists are supported, and ethical practice is part of everyday work.
