Jean Wilson's art studio is her salvation away from the world and all it's woes. Here she can dream and be creative, enjoying the depths of her imagination exploring and investigating which way to go. She uses her intuition in creating these paintings and is always amazed at how each piece evolves in relation to her moods and what is going on in her life.

As a mixed media artist she mainly uses acrylic paints but also crayon, pastel, pencil and ink. A variety of implements are used to achieve the marks and patterns produced, often with trowels, palette knives, brushes and rags!

Fond of aged/worn surfaces with lots of detail and texture, imperfect and messy, Jean paints many layers only to scratch and scrape away areas to reveal what lies beneath and show the artworks history!
