Anne-Marie Bloor was born in the North of England in a town called Oldham. Growing up she spent her time looking after her horses and dogs, drawing and painting. She completed her diploma in Graphic Design and this was her main career for many years. Then in 1999 with her partner, she emigrated to Perth, Western Australia.
In 2008, Anne-Marie regained her passion for art. At first she started painting the ocean but soon moved onto animals and birds due to her love for wildlife. She is a self taught artist and has always had a talent for art. It came very naturally to her. She spent the next few years working as a graphic designer part time and painting any chance she got. Then after becoming sick a few years ago she decided that this is what she wants to do with the rest of her life so started to treat her art as a business and not just a hobby.
When people see her art, their comments are “WOW the detail is amazing” “It looks like a photo”. Her work takes many hours and lots of layers to produce. She works in Acrylics. She paints every day and hopes to soon to become a full time artist.
