I am a Yuet Noongar and Gnadju artist residing in Scarborough with my mardong (partner) and dwert (dog). My love for art has been built upon this past decade, with my work moving through different mediums such as photography, painting, ceramics, printmaking and glass. The work I create revolves around my love of the natural world and the beauty this land and it's inhabitants hold.
I've recently started exploring my place in the world and the repercussions of the stolen generations. My own father was taken away at a young age and brought up at New Norcia Mission. This occurred all around Australia and was the case for many generations. I'm the first generation in my family not to be taken away from my parents under this policy. Health, education and incarceration outcomes for Aboriginal people in this country are bleak and something I also aim to highlight through my work as a visual artist.
