Dallas has always felt a deep connection to her surroundings. While at art school, Dallas discovered printmaking- a process driven way of making images- that allowed time to daydream over the possibilities of the works she would create. The work that Dallas generates is a direct response to the landscapes that surround her, where she visualizes ideas of loss, fear and wonder through the atmospheric elements of the environment.
Currently Dallas divides her time between her family life, art practice and work as a Principal Lecturer at North Metropolitan TAFE, where she teaches printmaking and drawing as well as developing curriculum and training for a variety of disciplines in the creative industries.
