This is the sky at its most dramatic. A dark sweep of cloud moves through the centre of the canvas, caught between the warm orange glow at the horizon and the soft lavender and blue above. Below it the water mirrors those same colours back in long, flowing layers of purple, grey and the softest blush pink.

It is that specific moment when you can actually feel the day changing around you. Not quite day, not quite night. Just everything shifting at once.
'As the Day Turns' has a presence that the softer pieces in this collection don't. It is bold enough to anchor a large wall but the flowing palette keeps it feeling connected to the quieter moments around it.
