"'Shadows of the Past' is a deeply personal and emotional artwork that pays tribute to my grandmother's story and the intergenerational trauma experienced by the Stolen Generations.

Inspired by my grandmother's complex and often painful relationship with her heritage, this piece explores the lingering shadows of the past. As a child of the Stolen Generations' legacy, my grandmother was scared to share her beautiful heritage with her children, fearing that they too would be taken away.

Through "Shadows of the Past," I aim to honor my grandmother's story, acknowledge the pain of the Stolen Generations, and celebrate the resilience and strength of those who have been impacted. This artwork is a testament to the power of memory, the importance of acknowledging our past, and the hope for healing and reconciliation."
