In this artwork I am exploring the idea of freedom. I intuitively selected colours that spoke to me, the phrase let go was in my mind whilst creating which allowed me to stay in the moment. This way of creating is extremely free form and makes me feel most alive, freedom is also expressed in the imagery of the bees and the swaying of the leaves. The title "Don't wanna bee like anyone else" comes from the realisation that comparison is the killer of the human spirit, rather than always trying to fit in and doing things the way others do, doing things in your own way brings a greater sense of happiness, joy and pride.
