A graceful female Red Tailed Black Cockatoo is depicted with her lighter markings emphasized to echo the colours of the landscape of the Wheatbelt at harvest time. A slender eucalyptus tree fills the space vertically next to the bird perched on a perpendicular branch, reminiscent of Art Nouveau compositions and stained glass artworks. Painted with a palette of yellows and greens, the leaves are filled with washes of autumnal colours which compliment the yellows of the wheat crops.
This artwork has been professionally framed utilising reflection free art glass, paired with a two tone black painted Tasmanian oak deep edge frame, triple matted, floated and spaced within the mount. Also available in fine art print.
