Original Acrylic on Canvas
Artwork size: 400 x 500 mm
Stretched only ready to hang.
Inspired by the theme of '50 Years of Deadly', this artwork reflects my upbringing and the influence of my old people through listening, learning and simply being around them. It reflects the importance of connection to family, community, identity and each other.
The Gascoyne River and surrounding landscape are where many of these memories were made. Spending time with family and old people taught me the value of connection and the importance of learning from those around you. This piece reflects those experiences and the lasting impact they continue to have today.
This piece is a part of the 2026 NAIDOC Exhibition.
