Teresa Fernandez is a visual artist based in Perth WA.
Teresa’s interest in drawing and creating started at a very young age. She began working on her art practice more seriously in her twenties. Undertaking studies initially in graphic design then in fine art at various art schools including Central Institute of Technology and Claremont School of Art.
Teresa finds inspiration and subject matter in everyday life and uses her ‘backyard’ in Perth as a source of endless stimulation: the beach, the bush and the kitchen cupboard! Curiosity and experimentation are significant motivators resulting in art that is not placed within the boundaries of a single style.
Teresa’s work varies between still life, abstract and
sometimes quirky!
