“I’ve been exploring patterns in my artwork this year, most concepts have been on simple shapes like hills, but this is the first where I introduced the patterns over a known iconic landmark in the Pilbara. It's my ‘Inception’ piece...it's a painting of what they have painted. There are 100s of paintings of Python Pool, and this was my way to show it in a different way, giving the man and a dog a back seat to the composition and the hero is what they have done to the space”.
